Practical answers before you pick up the phone

Waikare Coastal Lettings is run by WAIKARE PROPERTIES LTD, and we handle two things that usually go together: ferry crossings along this stretch of coast, and the equipment people need once they are out on the water. Most of our customers are day trippers, small groups and families who want a straightforward crossing without a long list of conditions attached.

We keep the fleet and the hire stock in the same place, which means a booking is one conversation rather than three. If you need a crossing on a Saturday morning and four life jackets plus a cool box, we can confirm all of it in a single email and have the kit waiting at the pontoon when you arrive.

The questions on this page are the ones we actually get asked, and we have answered them as plainly as we can. Where something depends on the weather, the tide or the size of your group, we say so rather than promising a fixed answer. We would rather tell you now than have you find out at the dock.
